Thank you for taking the time to find out what is required for the Sacrament of Confirmation in our Parish!
Our annual programme is for Year 8 students and above, starting at the beginning of each year. Other opportunities can be organised for adults to receive this Sacrament by contacting the Parish.
The Sacrament of Confirmation helps to empower the person (candidate) to live out their Catholic faith, and to receive the final Rite of Initiation into the Church.

2024 Confirmation Programme Dates
Confirmation sessions will be held on Monday afternoons. Depending on the size of the group, we may have to do two groups but this will be decided after registrations close. It will be between 4:30pm - 7pm.
Confirmation Camp is Friday 24 - Sunday 26 May at Blue Skies Kaiapoi.
There is an expectation that confirmation candidates attend all sessions, and the Confirmation Camp.
Monday 8th April - Parent Meeting, Christ the King Pastoral Centre - 7pm
Monday 6th May - Session #1
Monday 13th May - Session #2
Friday 24 - Sunday 26 May - Confirmation Camp, Blue Skies, Kaiapoi

Monday 10th June - Session #7
Monday 17th June - Session #8
SUNDAY 23 JUNE - CONFIRMATION MASS (Time to be confirmed)
Registrations for the 2024 Confirmation Programme open on Monday 5 February and close on Friday 5 April (registration form at the bottom of this page).

The gift of the Holy Spirit is the strength from above in which this individual puts the grace of their Baptism into practice through their life and acts as a ‘witness’ for Christ.””
