“Be sealed with the gift Holy Spirit…”

Thank you for taking the time to find out what is required for the Sacrament of Confirmation in our Parish!

Our annual programme is for Year 8 students and above, starting at the beginning of each year. Other opportunities can be organised for adults to receive this Sacrament by contacting the Parish.

The Sacrament of Confirmation helps to empower the person (candidate) to live out their Catholic faith, and to receive the final Rite of Initiation into the Church.

“In Confirmation the soul of a baptised Christian is imprinted with a permanent seal that can be received only once and marks this individual forever as a Christian. The gift of the Holy Spirit is the strength from above in which this individual puts the grace of their Baptism into practice through their life and acts as a ‘witness’ for Christ.”
